What if No One Answered the Call?

In response to the ongoing need for volunteer firefighters, Tillamook Fire District has initiated a recruitment campaign for interested men and women to learn how to "Answer The Call" and serve their community. Become a volunteer firefighter today! Contact your local fire department and find our how to become an emergency responder. Becoming an emergency responder allows you to reach out and help someone in need. Together with Tillamook Fire District we can ensure there is always someone to "Answer The Call."

Volunteer recruits are required to complete an application process subject to a thorough criminal history background check, and drug testing. Applications may be obtained on-line at the district web page, Volunteers or at the district office located at 2310 4th. Street, Tillamook Oregon.

Fall Recruit Academy

The "Fall Recruit Academy" begins November 21, 2008 and will be held over five weekends ending in February 2009. The academy includes classroom and hands-on physical training subject to the requirements of OROSHA Division 2L Oregon Rules for Firefighters.

Class 4 within 5 road miles of a station and fire hydrant.

Class 8B within 5 road miles of a station with no hydrant.
